The Old Town Of Puerto Del Carmen, Canary Islands

The Old Town Of Puerto Del Carmen, Canary Islands

If you’re looking for a tropical holiday in the Canary Islands, consider visiting Puerto del Carmen. This beach resort is nestled on the island of Lanzarote, offering two popular beaches: Playa Grande and Matagorda. Both beaches offer a steady breeze, making them perfect for lounging and swimming. The old town dock is lined with fishing boats, and the Avenida de las Playas beachfront boulevard is lined with shops and restaurants. There’s also a zoo and Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park.

Parasailing

There are many reasons why you should try Parasailing in Puerto del Carmen. First of all, it’s a unique experience – you get to fly 50 meters above the sea! What could be better than that? What’s more, you’ll have a great view of the beautiful coastline of Lanzarote as well! If you’re not into heights, you can always enjoy a ride from the deck of a boat!

Parasailing is an activity that involves harnessing a parachute and being towed by a powerful motorboat. You’ll be able to enjoy the spectacular views of the coast while you’re soaring high above the sea. If you’re unsure about your skills, the operator will give you a safety briefing beforehand. Once in the air, a qualified instructor will pull you into the sky. Children must be at least 8 years old to participate.

Golf

If you’re looking for a fun and challenging game of golf, Puerto del Carmen, Canary Islands, offers a number of options. The first course you’ll come across is the Lanzarote Golf Club, which opened in October 2008. Designed by Ron Kirby, the former Course Project Manager for Jack Nicklaus, the Lanzarote Golf Club weaves its way through lava fields and boasts several fairways that wrap around low stone walls. While the course is not particularly flat, it’s walkable and offers a pleasant atmosphere for golfers.

The golf course is situated on the higher zone of the city, with magnificent views of the Atlantic Ocean, Fuerteventura, and Lobos. You can also hire a golf buggy if you don’t have your own. And when you’re ready to play a round, there’s a professional club on-site to help you perfect your swing. Several members of staff are first aid certified and trained to assist you should you need it.

Shopping

You can find a variety of shops and markets in the area, so you will have plenty of choice when it comes to what to buy while you’re in the Canary Islands. A good place to start your shopping expedition in Puerto del Carmen is the Avenida de las Playas, a 2.5-mile strip lined with palm trees and large, brand-name stores. A number of restaurants, cafes, and bars are also located along the street.

For souvenirs, supermarkets are the place to go. Among the many types of products available in supermarkets is jamon, which is a vacuum-packed pork leg. You can also buy local cheeses at reasonable prices. You should always ask for authenticity certificates before buying any products. In Puerto del Carmen, you can find a variety of jewelry ranging from elegant pearl necklaces to inexpensive olivine bracelets. Jewelers here are happy to work with all budgets and can help you find the perfect piece of jewelry. Local pearls are the best to buy, but make sure to verify their value before committing to a purchase.

Old town

The Old town of Puerto del Carmen, Canaries, is divided into two parts – the new area and the old town. The new area is a lively area with several bars and restaurants. The old town still retains its traditional ambiance. Many locals play boules in the streets and enjoy the seafood and local wines. The New Town, however, is more commercial, with many clubs, discotheques, and bars.

The main tourist resort in the Canary Islands is Puerto del Carmen, which is divided into two parts, the old town and the new. The old town is surrounded by good beaches. The waters are calmer here than those in other parts of the Canaries, which makes it a popular destination for snorkeling and diving. It is also home to a popular zoo, Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park.

Lanzarote’s cuisine

The Canary Islands are known for their cuisine, and the cuisine of Lanzarote is no exception. Although the island has a mild climate, there are some distinct differences between the local and regional foods. Typical Lanzarote food features a variety of seafood, fresh fruits and vegetables, and wines. The island is also known for its cheese, which is typically accompanied by a generous amount of paprika. Fish is another staple of the local diet, and the island’s ‘papas arrugadas con mojo’ is an example of this. Although this food is generally grilled, the potato dishes are generally eaten with a green or red mojo sauce.

To make your visit to Lanzarote an unforgettable experience, try local dishes. Stews are also popular on the island. One of the island’s most popular dishes is Puchero, a traditional stew made with beef or pork, chickpeas, corn, and potatoes. For desserts, try gofio – a ground cereal flour that goes great with cocoa. Another delicious stew is potaje, which combines seasonal fruits and vegetables.

Hotels in Puerto del Carmen

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Canary Islands is the town of Puerto del Carmen, which is located on the island of Lanzarote. It’s home to the best beaches and has a variety of entertainment and dining options. Before booking a hotel, consider your exact needs before you make a decision. This page provides a list of hotels in Puerto del Carmen. You can reserve a room with the hotel through this website.

The first thing you should consider when booking a hotel in Puerto del Carmen is the season you plan on visiting. You’ll find that hotel rates fluctuate greatly from one day to the next. In general, the cost of a room in Puerto del Carmen is less on Tuesdays than on Wednesdays. However, prices will vary significantly depending on the time of year. If you plan to visit the town during the low season, you’ll find the best deals by booking your stay on Tuesday.
