What Types Of blinds Work In Bedrooms?

Blinds are one of the most important parts of your home’s décor: they keep light out, give you privacy, and can be used to add a splash of color to any room in your home.

But with so many different types of blinds available on the market, from simple roller blinds all the way to blinds built into windows, it can be hard to know what type of blind you actually need in each room, unless you’re some sort of blinds expert.

One room that people often buy the wrong sort of blinds for is the bedroom, as most people don’t know the ins and outs of how blinds work. Picking the wrong blind for your bedroom will end up letting light pollution pour into your bedroom at night making it harder for you to fall asleep and easier for you to be disturbed in the night.

So, if you want to know what types of blinds work well in bedrooms, read on and find out what type of perfect fit blinds you should have in your bedroom!

Blackout Roller Blinds

Toscana Black/White Blackout Roller Blind

First on the list – Blackout Roller Blinds, these are essentially standard roller blinds, but made with a blackout material rather than a voile or dimout material which would let light pass through the blind. So with the blackout material you block out the light leakage.

Beyond the blackout fabric, a blackout roller blind will work exactly the same as a normal roller blind, while they aren’t the most stylish type of blind on the market they do the job well and can be bought in a wide range of colors.

Double Roller Blinds

Next up – Double Roller Blinds, these blinds are very similar to standard roller blinds, but rather than having a single roller, they have two, the blind closest to the window will be dimout material and the front blind will be made of blackout material – this makes them perfect for studio apartments or bedrooms that double up as home offices as you can use the dimout blind in the day and the blackout blind at night.

As they use two different blinds, you will have more stylistic options as you can pick which colors you’d like on your blind, allowing for you to pick a color pairing or go with two blinds of the same color.

Roman Blinds

Finally – Roman Blinds, these are a classic type of blinds, they have been used for thousands of years dating back to ancient Rome! Made of a sheet of material that has strings connected to pleats. Rather than being made from blackout material, these blinds can have a blackout lining on the rear of the blind that can make them perfect for bedrooms.

With Roman blinds, you have a lot of stylistic choices as these are made from fabric materials, which can be made in a wide range of colors and patterns, as well as the style friendly look of the blinds, these are the perfect blinds for the décor obsessed.
