Often people will assume that as they are less active that they don’t need to nourish their bodies as they did in their twenties. When we are younger, we are more on the go! However, when we are over fifty, we often presume that our nutritional needs aren’t the same.

One of the reasons that we need to have a great supplement regimen in our elder years is its effects on cancer and aging. As we age, our bodies collect things that are known as free radicals, which are a result of being exposed to pollution and the environment. One of the ways that we can address this issue is by taking a supplement like chlorophyll. Chlorophyll and cancer prevention go hand in hand when it comes to supplements you should add to your list. Vitamin A drops are also a great way to help your aging body as well as other non-essential vitamins. Non essential vitamins are great for your body, but you don’t need them to prevent diseases.

Vitamins That Defy Aging:

Chlorophyll: Derived from green plants, chlorophyll harnesses antioxidant powers and has been proven to reduce the size of cancerous tumors in rats.

As a preventative measure, chlorophyll is a great supplement to take to reduce the likelihood of developing cancer in your golden years due to the lifelong effects of pollution and other carcinogens.

Vitamin D: Sure, we all know that too much sun exposure can cause skin cancer. However, most of us are not getting enough Vitamin D in our diets. One of the ways to offset this is to take a Vitamin D supplement. Not only is Vitamin D3 liquid drops an essential vitamin, but it also has other health benefits.

As a proven anti-arthritic vitamin, Vitamin D has the ability to also help with those pesky aches and pains that we all experience as we age!

Vitamin A: One of the issues that most of us notice as we age is the ability to see well has left the building. Like other parts of your body, your eyes have a tendency to wear out as well.

Vitamin A is the ideal way to provide some eye health! Featuring carotenoids, Vitamin A drops are a great way to give yourself some Vitamin A in an easily absorbed form.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin: One of the biggest health complaints of people who are middle-aged and beyond is arthritic and joint pain. As we age, the tissues between our joints have a tendency to become thinner and less pliable.

What this creates is arthritis.

We’ve all heard the phrase “bone on bone,” and anyone that’s ever had this condition knows that it’s painful.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin have the ability to add extra lubrication to the joints, which helps reduce pain!

The B Vitamins: Another annoying part of aging is the fatigue that comes along with it. We all know that our get up and go has got up and went in a lot of circumstances.

That’s why the B Vitamins are essential for not only good health but also for natural energy. Unlike stimulants such as caffeine, B Vitamins are a natural energy booster that helps you feel great without added side effects.

Vitamin E: Touted as one of the most important vitamins to take as you age, Vitamin E not only promotes heart health but it is also is good for fighting cancer and even has positive effects on Alzheimer’s Disease.

With many different benefits, Vitamin E is a must-have in your supplement routine!

Protein: Although most of us presume that protein powders are for those that are working out and lifting heavy weights, that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Protein is what makes up your muscle mass that also has a tendency to diminish as we age.

Taking a good protein supplement is the ideal way to assist your body in creating more muscle which is not only important for strength and balance but also for ensuring that you don’t get sagging skin! Protein is a win-win for both endurance as well as looks!

Collagen: Anyone who has ever been browsing through the skincare aisle knows that collagen is a staple in anti-aging products. Did you also know that you can get benefits from it from the inside out? Taking a collagen supplement is just as important as putting that wrinkle cream on your face. Not only does it assist in fighting wrinkles, but it also helps strengthen other tissues in your body!

As you can see, there are specific vitamin needs for those that are over fifty!

Practicing a good supplement routine as well as knowing how to pick your potions is the perfect way to fight the effects of aging, such as poor eyesight, muscle mass reduction, and wrinkles!
