Are you considering a breast lift, but you’re still not sure if that’s the correct procedure for you?

Breast sagging is a common problem for women. When this happens, it can affect your self-confidence. This is probably why you’re considering a breast lift to reshape your bosom.

If you want tighter, perkier breasts, it helps to be aware of some common causes of this common condition. Read on to learn more about these causes and how to avoid them.

1. Wearing a Bra All the Time

One of the top causes of breast sagging is wearing a bra all the time. Even when sleeping, many women wear a bra.

This constricts the movement of the breasts. It also reduces the amount of activity that can help keep the breasts in shape.

Movement of the breasts helps keep the tissue strong and the skin elastic. Wearing a bra for extended periods can destroy this elasticity. This, in turn, results in sagging breasts.

To reduce the risk of sagging, women should avoid wearing a bra constantly. Instead, they should only do so when going out and leave them off when at home or during sleeping hours.

2. Vitamin B and C Deficiency

Vitamin B and C deficiencies can be major contributing factors to breast sagging. These two essential vitamins provide many benefits. This means that there will be adverse effects when not balanced correctly in the diet.

Vitamin B helps produce collagen and elastin. These provide structure and support to the skin.

Vitamin C helps the body absorb iron and produces connective tissue proteins. With this, they can help provide shape and strength.

Without sufficient levels of these vitamins, the skin can become loose. This causes women’s breasts to sag. The breasts can also take on a wrinkled and brittle appearance.

To maintain breast firmness and skin elasticity, women should include sources of these vitamins in their daily diets. These include vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

3. Menopause

One of the most common issues women experience during menopause is the change in breast shape and size. More often than not, they experience breast sagging. This is due to the hormonal and physical changes during this time.

As the hormone levels decrease, it can affect the collagen and elastic fibers in the breast. These are responsible for support. Without proper support, the skin may lose its elasticity and result in sagging breasts.

To reduce the risk of sagging during menopause, women can wear a supportive bra. It also helps to keep the skin hydrated with lotion.

Exercise can also help keep breast muscles toned and reduce the risk of sagging. If you already have sagging breasts and they bother you, you can find out more about how to get a breast lift here.

Dealing With Breast Sagging

Breast sagging is a natural part of the aging process. The good news is that there are steps one can take to reduce its appearance.
The earlier you start dealing with breast sagging, the easier it is to slow down the process. If you are still unsure about what you should do, get in touch with a healthcare professional today.
