Joe Jonas Fade Haircut

Joe Jonas Hairstyles – Former Jonas Brother, uh, wait… He and Nick Jonas are actually brothers, so I guess I shouldn’t call him a former Jonas Brother. I digress. The former member of the band the Jonas Brother, Nick Jonas (like his brother) isn’t afraid to change his hairstyle once in a while. This is a good thing. So many guys get stuck wearing the same haircut forever their look gets boring. Joe doesn’t always hit a home run with his hairstyles, but he almost always looks fresh.

If I had to pick one of Joe’s looks in recent years, this is my favorite. The style is a low fade, skin-tight on the bottom, and longer on top. I love books that combine classic barbering with modern style and this one nails it.

This haircut almost looks like it could have been done at home, but I like it. The sides and back are taken short with a #1 blade, and there is a fairly hard-like demarcation near the top of the head. The top is left long enough to show off his hair’s natural texture. I would style this product with Kevin Murphy Free Hold Styling Paste for control and natural shine.

For this style, the hair is cut scissor short on the sides and back to give added texture while the top is left about 1 1/2″ long and texturized. This is a somewhat versatile short style as the top could be worn down as a Caesar cut or even parted to the side and swept back for a more formal look.

This is probably my least favorite of Joe’s looks over the past few years. For this style, the hair is left in long layers and flat-ironed to straighten it. I’m always a fan of styles that take advantage of the hair’s natural growth and texture, and this look doesn’t do that at all.

This casual shag style is one of Joes’ longer styles that I like a lot. It shows off his hair’s natural wave and gives him a versatile look that will work well in a suit or in a tank top on the beach.

Joe Jonas Long Curly Style

For this look, Joe lets his natural curl show with long layers and casual styling. For this particular style, I would simply towel dry the hair, apply some product to define the curl (I like TIGI Bed Head for Men In Check Curl Defining Cream for this task), and give it a good shake. Quick and easy!

Joe Jonas Tapered Haircut

I love this particular style on Joe. The hair is tapered short on the sides and back and blended into a significantly longer top. This classic tapered hairstyle can be worn casually styled (as shown) or styled neatly with a bit of pomade (Baxter of California Hard Water Pomade is perfect for this) for a more formal, groomed look.

Pre-teen girls around the world wept when photos surfaced on the internet that Joe Jonas had shaved his head, but I thought it was a good move. Not only did it help him shake the boy band image, but it was a great change. In this photo, the hair is clipped uniformly all over the head with about a #3 blade. This is the type of buzzcut you can do at home if you have a decent set of clippers and a steady hand.

For this style, Joe has gone “Merman” (yes, that’s a term these days) and has dyed his hair. Blue and green. It’s a fun look for him.
