False eyelashes are widely available for purchase at many high street stores. The problem is that the stores tend to stock mass-produced low-quality false eyelashes with poor quality eyelash extension glue. This means that in the long run, you end up spending more money on eyelash glue and the fake lashes themselves. The best way to buy false lashes is probably online, simply because of the wide variety of eyelash extensions and eyelash glues that are available.

What Are False Lashes And Why Should You Use Them?

Also known as “falsies” in the fashion industry, false lashes come in many different shapes, styles, and forms. That’s good news because you can find the perfect one that will fulfill all your expectations!

Obviously, false lashes are artificial eyelashes that you have to “attach” to your natural lash-line to make it look as natural as possible (if applied correctly, false lashes are unnoticeable even by the biggest fashion gurus).

Whether you want to have

  • normal, natural-looking eyelashes
  • “wilder” eyelashes
  • flirty and sexy eyelashes
  • colored or “exotic” eyelashes
  • and many more types

…you can buy them all for just a few bucks online. If you’re lucky and follow our advice, you’ll even be able to get serious discounts when buying.

False Eyelashes Guide: Everything You Need To Know About False Eyelashes and How to Apply Them

What are False Lashes Made Of?

In case you’re interested, there are two types of false lashes, synthetic and ones that are made of natural hair (just like in the case of wigs). As a general rule of thumb, synthetic eyelashes are a bit cheaper than natural ones, and they look a bit “less” natural too, but for the average person, no one will tell the difference whether you wear natural or synthetic false lashes.

Technically, there are two kinds of artificial eyelashes:

  • strip false lashes and
  • individual false lashes.

The lashes in the first category are easier to apply because they consist of the same length of lashes as your lash line. Contrary, the individual lashes each consist of only a few lashes attached together, and you have to apply more of them to cover the full lash line.

However, they can give you an even more natural look, and you can “customize” them even better than strip lashes. Of course, this makes individual false lashes harder to apply than the usual strip lashes.

So that’s all you need to know regarding false lashes. Now let’s discuss how you have to apply them the right way:

How to Apply False Lashes Properly

In case you can’t watch the above video, here’s a short summary of how to apply false lashes.

Don’t worry if, in the beginning, you’ll have some trouble applying false eyelashes. It takes a lot of practice to make them look perfectly natural, so don’t panic if, at the first few tries, they’ll look a little messy.

Step 1 (IMPORTANT): Trim the eyelashes (with the strip that holds them together as well) to the length of your eye. If you fail to do this step, the false lashes will be longer than your natural eyelash line, and it will look totally weird.

Don’t worry, this is not a difficult step, and it’s required doing no matter what eyelashes you buy because everyone’s lashline is of different lengths. Also, make sure you always cut from the outside, not the inside.

  • Apply eyeshadow to your eyes before trying to put on your lashes.
  • Apply eyeliner to your lashline. Although this is optional, it really helps the false lashes “blend in” with your natural eyelashes.
  • Curl your lashes.
  • Apply mascara and wait about 10 minutes for it to dry. Now you’re ready to have your falsies applied.
  • Get a drop of glue (comes with the lashes) and run the bottom of the false lashes through the glue. You can hold the lashes with your hands or with a specific lash-grabber. Wait about 10-15 seconds for the glue to dry.
  • Place the lashes where you want them to be on your eye and use a little pen or something to apply them smoothly to your lashline.
  • That’s about it. Now you can apply some extra eyeliner or mascara over the lashes to make them look just the way you want it.

Again, don’t worry if you fail to do this process perfectly on the first try. With a little bit of practice, you’ll master it for good, and it will come as second nature.

False Eyelashes Care

Many of the fake eyelashes are actually reusable (5-8 times), but unluckily they are frail and fragile, so you must handle them with care, or you will have to buy new ones very often, which cost you. Here are some tips for taking good care of your false eyelashes:

False Eyelashes Care: How to Apply, Remove, and Clean your Fake Lashes.
  1. When you take it out from the box, never try to hold it from the base.
  2. Take it out with your fingers gently in the direction of the eyelashes.
  3. When you take the fake eyelashes off from your eyes, hold the middle part of the false eyelashes and pull them slightly but quickly.
  4. Never try to hold just two or three pieces of eyelashes.

Before you have put them back into the box, you should clean them thoroughly all the glue or adhesive, eye shadow, and mascara from the false eyelashes, or otherwise, they will be easily broken and, of course, filthy.

Mink Lashes: It’s All In The Eyes

So it’s finally arrived – summer that is, and it’s time to talk about the latest in summer beauty trends that have hit the runways and fashion mags this year. What we’re seeing everywhere are long, lacy lashes. Think forest pixie or baroque flirty, and you’ll have the idea. Whether paired with leopard print and black eyeliner, geometric blacks-and-whites with a dark, smoky eye, or a mix of colorful prints, with an eye to the decadent, and smudgy top-and-bottom lined eyes – wispy eyelashes are all the rage.

So you’ve decided to try the look yourself. You buy some cheap lashes at the drugstore, wear them out for an evening, and notice the reactions you get. They’re favorable, and you quite like how you look in them, too. But the next day, your eyes are irritated from the glue, and the lashes have lost their shape. You want the look, but this simply won’t do—time to make a small investment in your summer wardrobe. Now there are decisions to be made: what type of false lashes to buy? Your research and decide that mink is the way to go. High-quality mink 3D lashes hold their shape, look natural, and come in a variety of options.

Mink lashes are the hottest trend in beauty! While synthetic alternatives are heavy, unnatural, and often known to cause irritation, mink lashes will provide a natural, flexible look with a glamorous shine. The exclusive line of 3D mink lashes is Cruelty-Free, sterilized, and hypo-allergenic. They are easy to apply and remove, and with proper care can be used up to 20 times.

So, where do you go for the finest of mink lashes online? Lashed Rx should be a the top of your list.

Upon going there, you are stunned by the variety offered. Which pair should you choose to complete this summer’s look? Click on the “light volume” tabs and check out false lashes. There they are: your wispy, pixie eyes! They’re absolutely perfect to put you right in line with this summer’s beauty trends. So what do you do next? Click the “Add to Cart” button and proceed to check-out. But wait! Don’t forget the eyelash glue! Lash Liner Glue (liner that doubles as liner and glue) is both latex and sulfate/paraben-free so that it won’t irritate your eyes. Talk about one-stop shopping! Now you’re all set to have a beautiful, flirty summer. Happy lashing!

Best Eyelash Extension Glue For Putting Up Your Fake Eyelashes

Although many fake eyelashes come with eyelash glue included in the package, if you run out of glue, it’s important to find the best lash extension glue to replace it.

Some readers recently asked us why their false lashes are falling out, and this can also be because of using the wrong glue.

So just sit back and read this article to find out

  • which is the best eyelash extension glue and
  • how you can buy it online for the cheapest price possible.

How to Get the Best Eyelash Extension Glue Online

If you are searching to buy false eyelashes, you will most likely fall into the trap that most women encounter. Curious? Well, let me tell you if you don’t already know! Basically, the lash glue that comes packaged with false eyelashes is generally low quality and only in a small tube. Some common problems that women encounter when searching to buy false lashes are very annoying. In particular, having your lashes fall off in the middle of a party because the eyelash adhesive has not bonded correctly or is affected by the weather or room temperature. This is highly embarrassing, and if you don’t have any spare lash glue, you either have to take them off or find an alternative (let me tell you that isn’t easy!). Another issue I have with the false eyelash adhesive you get with false eyelashes is that there is just not enough. Some of the tubes of glue are tiny, meaning I run out halfway through.

How to Get the Best Eyelash Extension Glue Online

The good thing is that these two problems are easily fixed. Just make sure that when you buy false eyelashes, you also buy a high-quality eyelash extension glue to ensure your lashes hold for the entire duration they are worn!

To find a list of high-quality glues and also some cool false eyelash brands, check out lashedrx.com!

Many women fall into the mistake of going for cheapness instead of paying attention to quality. This can be a huge mistake since it can cause your falsies to fall out prematurely. Sometimes using the wrong glue can lead to your lashes falling out even within just a day or two, so it’s extremely important to use the best glue out there.

We recommend Lashedrx.com as one of the best places to buy fake eyelash glue and any other beauty product for that matter because they always sell high-quality and quality-controlled items.

One of the WORST types of glue is the kind of Chinese glue that is simply super-glue mixed with black dye. Not only are these extremely irritating to the eye, but they also damage your natural eyelashes, so you want to stay away from these at all costs.

The best choice for most women is the Lash Liner Glue (liner that doubles as liner and glue), which you can order from Lashedrx.com. It received a 5-star rating, and most women reported that they were very satisfied with the results.

It’s

  • waterproof
  • clear and invisible when it’s dry
  • and it’s the best settling eyelash extension glue in the world.

According to the reviews, it

  • stays put
  • dries well
  • is the best and most popular eyelash glue.

The only thing to be aware of is that even at the gentlest squeeze a LOT of glue will come out, so don’t squeeze the glue directly to the false lashes, first aim it on a surface and THEN should you run the base of your falsies through the glue, only.

Note: It’s important to remind you to apply your eye shadow, mascara, and eyeliner before putting on your false eyelashes. Apply a thin line of glue along the base of your false lash.

And finally, just remember not to keep on your fake eyelashes for more than a few days, a maximum a week. It can be very hard to get them off after that. Of course, this depends on the kind of eyelash glue you use and its brand, but just keep this safety tip in mind.

These Are The Best False Lashes, According To The Blufashion Readers

(Photo: Facebook/PAPERSELF)

I am a big, big fan of false eyelashes. Just the idea of wearing them makes me happy. Long lashes are lovely, but that isn’t even really what I love about false eyelashes. I specifically love the fakeness of false lashes. Wearing them is a performance, like wearing a corset or red lipstick or a big, over-the-top hairdo. In fact, years ago I turned down a set of eyelash extensions that promised to look very natural because I was told that if I had extensions I could not wear mascara or false lashes.

“But you won’t need them!” the stylist said.

“That’s not the point!” I argued. I could have lashes like Elizabeth Taylor, and I would still want to be able to stick a pair of demi wispies on the outer corner of my lash line, just for fun.

There are a lot of different brands and fibers of false lashes to choose from. There are mink lashes, silk lashes, human hair lashes, synthetic lashes, feather lashes, and even paper lashes. (I’ve always wanted to try a set of crazy paper lashes.) Shu Uemura makes fancy lashes. Velour makes mink ones. Ardell makes a ton of very popular ones you can find at the drugstore. All of them are fabulous.

Of course, I knew you guys would know some good places to find lashes, too, and some even better places to wear them. In addition to recommending lashes by MAC, Starfish suggested getting mink ones from eBay, where they’re less expensive than at most mink-lash purveyors.

“I love the Mac lashes, because they’re well made and comfortable to wear. They don’t feel so stiff and plasticky like the drug store ones. I also love buying mink lashes on ebay. They’re much more reasonably priced than Velour lashes and they are fluffy as well as natural looking. When I went camping this past weekend, I didn’t want to deal with the pain of taking off my mascara in the evening, so I bought some less dramatic looking mink lashes for the trip. They worked wonders! so comfortable and I looked great all day! even made it through a tough hiking trip!” a

she wrote.

Also, there are no words for how much I adore the idea of wearing false eyelashes to go camping. Just hearing about it makes camping seem more fun.

Who Makes The Best False Eyelashes?

False eyelashes are probably my favorite beauty product. I don’t use them as often as I use things like brow gel or red lipstick—in fact, I almost never wear them at all because I wear glasses and am extremely lazy—but I love the idea of false eyelashes more than anything. They’re just so fake and dramatic and performative, and I love that about them. And there are so many styles and varieties, a person could build a pretty fantastic wardrobe of different kinds of eyelashes.

Drugstore brands are fantastic for false eyelashes. Ardell lashes are one of the most popular brands there is. My sister loves the individual ones applied one at a time for a natural look, but honestly, I’ve always been a bigger fan of the eyelash strip. Strip lashes are so easy to put on and impossible to make look weird and clumpy. They might not look as natural as individuals, but I’m not necessarily going for “natural” anyway.

Shu Uemura makes some of the highest-end lashes you’ll ever see. I bought a pair of “Farfallina” lashes for far too much money from the Shu Uemura boutique in Paris as a treat last year, but unfortunately, I never got to wear them, so I can’t tell you if they were worth the $29. I was saving them for a special occasion, but then they got stolen with my suitcase and I miss them bitterly. (Having my suitcase stolen taught me to stop saving things for special occasions.) I don’t know what they looked like on, but they sure were beautiful in their package.

Velour Lashes makes another product I haven’t tried, but want to. Their signature lashes are made of mink fur so they’re very full and fluffy. (They also make silk lashes sold at Sephora.) Celebrities apparently love these, and Beyonce reportedly wears them sometimes, so that’s just one more thing for me to envy about Beyonce.

The other day I was walking through a TJ Maxx and saw a stack of eye makeup kits by the Kardashians’ Khroma Beauty line. The kits came with false lashes, and if anybody knows anything about eyelashes it is a Kardashian. The lashes in the box did look pretty fabulous.
