Wedding Updo Hairstyles
Wedding Updo Hairstyles and Hairdos.

There are many wedding updo hairstyles from which you can choose. Women begin to dream about their wedding day when they are little girls. They usually have it all planned out before they have even met their husband. They dream of the flowers, their dress how they will wear their hair. Many women want their wedding hairstyles to look glamorous and sophisticated. There are a lot of wedding updo hairstyles from which a woman can choose, including the messy updo, then curly updo, and braided updo.

Factors to Keep in Mind When Choosing a Hairstyle

It is important for you to remember that the average bride goes through many different wedding updo hairstyles before she finds the one that she likes best. While being indecisive is common, it is important to have a few different styles that you know you like for your big day. It is quite possible for you to want to change your mind about hairstyles on the day of your wedding. It is always a good idea to try the different styles so that you can get a real feel for them. If you are not open-minded to the differing styles, you could miss the perfect style for you.

Just about every hairstyle requires only a few supplies. A comb, bobby pins, ponytail holders, a curling iron, and mirrors are pretty much the only thing that someone needs to make a masterpiece with hair. Before trying any hairstyle, it is important to make sure that the hair is clean and dry. Wet hair can be hard to manage. Brushing hair while it is wet is not highly recommended because damage can be caused. If you have thick or coarse hair, you may want to consider adding a detangler or a leave-in conditioner to the hair before attempting any of the wedding updo hairstyles. The leave-in conditioner will give the hair extra strength. This is important as the hair will be pulled and brushed a lot while it is being placed into the differing updos.

Side Ponytail Updo

One of the most popular wedding updo hairstyles is the side ponytail updo. This classic look is featured any many magazines because it is such a classic and elegant look, but overall they are easy updos to achieve. To style the side ponytail updo, all a bride needs to do is gather her hair in a low ponytail on one side of your head. The ponytail should be situated toward the base of the neck. Once you have your hair secured in a ponytail, you will want to take a portion of your hair and wrap it around the hair band that is holding the ponytail. You will then want to take a bobby pin and secure the end of the wrapped hair so that it does not come loose to complete the side ponytail updo.

Half Updo

Another popular wedding updo hairstyle is the half updo, otherwise known as the half up, half down hairstyle. This beautiful style can be accomplished by dividing the hair into two sections. You will divide the hair in the middle of the head horizontally, starting at the top of one ear and going across to the other. When wearing a wedding hairstyle half up, you will then secure the top half of the hair with a beautiful barrette, ponytail holder, or bobby pins. Some brides choose to curl their hair before doing the half updo, but that choice is ultimately up to you.

Wedding Updos for Long Hair

If you have long hair, you may want to consider a lovely braided updo. Longer hair can sometimes be difficult to place in an updo, so it is important to choose between the wedding updos for long hair before your actual wedding day. There are a few different types of braided updos from which you can choose. You can choose to have your hair in an elegant French braid. You can have the end of the braid tucked into the braid so that the end cannot be seen. Another beautiful braided updo is the multiple braided buns. Your hair will be placed into a high ponytail toward the back of your head.

You will want to make sure that the ponytail is very high and secured very tightly. The ponytail will then be divided and braided. Some brides choose to have very small braids, while others choose to have larger braids. The braids will need to be secured at the ends. The braids are then weaved throughout each other until they form a bun. You can choose to leave the ends visible and curl them. You can also choose to hide the ends of the braids within the bun and secure them with bobby pins.

Using Wedding Hair Ornaments

When your hair is fully styled, you can choose to add different ornamentation to make the style stand out. A great option is fresh flowers. Many brides choose to adorn their hair with the same flowers that are in their bouquet. This is a great way to bring everything together. Another idea for hair ornamentation is beading. Beading is now available in a variety of colors and styles. You can choose to use beads that look like pearls, diamonds, or just gemstones. They can be draped around the crown of your head or woven throughout the hairstyle. Many elegant looks can be achieved using beading.

Top Tip: Just Feel the Look!

The only thing that should matter about the hairstyle you choose is how it makes you feel. You should feel like a princess after your hair is finished. It is important to choose a style that you feel comfortable wearing so that you can enjoy your big day. When trying out the different styles, it is important to test how well they are able to stand up against dancing too. Every bride dances at her reception, and the last thing you want is for your hair to be falling out halfway through the night. Pictures will be taken at the ceremony and the reception, so you will want to be sure that your heart looks great in them all. You can test the hairstyle by dancing around, jumping, and simply shaking your head. If you do not feel the hairstyle coming loose, you may have found the perfect style for your big day. It is important to feel confident and beautiful every step of the way on your wedding day.
