Glitterage Hair Treatment Is Perfect For The Holidays
Glitterage Hair Treatment Is Perfect For The Holidays.

The glitterage hair treatment is going viral because it’s perfect for the holidays. It was created by hairstylist Danielle Wade.

What would the holidays be without a little, nay, a lot of glitter? They just wouldn’t be as festive. That’s why we see a lot of shimmering beauty launches drop this time of year, and a handful of sparkle trends go viral. If you’ve got your glitter eyeshadow palette and prismatic highlighters, but you’re looking for something to do with your hair, check out the glitterage hair treatment that is going viral.

It was created by Denver-based hairstylist Danielle Wade who coined the technique and the term. She posted a photo of one of her client’s hair transformations online and explained how she is “making the world sparkle one unicorn at a time.”

The video shows the hairstylist transforming her client’s hair by painting glitter on the unicorn hair in a balayage method (aka freehand) using Colortrack brushes. Danielle had already dyed her client’s hair a deep turquoise using Pravana dyes, so she opted for a coordinating glitter. She finished the look off with Major Moonshine Glitter Gel for extra shine.

The finished look is like glitter highlights. You won’t need any shine sprays or serums because this glitterage picks up plenty of light. The only downside is that, like the glitter roots trend, this finish isn’t permanent. It will wash out the next time you shampoo your hair. That being said, it’s still a fun way to switch up your look for a holiday party with zero commitment.
