Which Crazy Color Should I Dye My Brown Hair?

I want to dye my hair a fun color, but don’t know what shade to choose. Help me decide what crazy color dye I should use.

We love all different color hair transformations at The Gloss, but we especially love crazy-colored dye jobs. It doesn’t matter whether it’s unicorn pink, gray blue, or a watermelon-inspired ombre; we love them all. Kelsey recently dyed her hair a gorgeous purple ombre, and now it’s my turn to join the bright hair color club.

I previously dyed my hair purple, but that has long faded, and I’m in the mood to switch up my basic brown hair, but I don’t know what color to choose. I’m going to DIY dye my hair again using good ol’ Manic Panic. I don’t want to bleach my hair. I wanted a more low-maintenance style that would work for us dark-haired girls, something that adds a touch of color but doesn’t need to be LOOK AT ME bright. I asked our friends at Manic Panic what would be the best colors that would show up on brown hair to help me narrow down my choices, and now I’m asking you, dear Blufashion readers, to help me choose a color. I’m also torn about whether I want to dye my whole head or just dip dye the ends, so any feedback is appreciated.

Here are my hair color options:

1. Manic Panic Green Envy

This bottle looks almost black, but if you check out some of the photos on Pinterest, you’ll see that it gives dark hair a deep forest green color. If Jared Leto can have green hair, so can I.

2. Manic Panic After Midnight

On dark hair, the result seems to be a cool navy blue. It reminds me a bit of Sailor Mercury, which is a good thing.

3. Manic Panic Fuschia Shock

I originally wanted to dye my hair pink but wound up dying it purple. This warm magenta shade is the right mix or purple and pink. I also like this since it’s different than the typical cotton candy pink.

4. Manic Panic Vampire Red

Red might not be the craziest color, but this shade is beautiful. It gives dark hair a cool burgundy tint, and who doesn’t love something that is based off of vampires? Plus, I’ve experimented with bright red hair chalk in my natural hair color and liked the way they looked.
