There are fragrances we will try once but there are those we continue to buy year after year. What’s your #1 favorite perfume?
We love to play around with different scents. There are limited edition perfumes we’ll try for the summer. Then there are those odd scents that we surprisingly like when we sniff them in the store that we’ll actually end up buying them. Then there are those fragrances that you purchase again and again each time the bottle starts getting uncomfortably low. Running out of them is not an option. You might call it your signature perfume, or it could be one of many go-to. What is your all-time favorite perfume?
I like to try different fragrances, but one I always go back to is Marc Jacobs Daisy Eau De Toilette Spray, $78. I knew I would like it as soon as I saw the packaging. It is described as “fresh and feminine” and has notes of strawberry, vanilla, ruby red grapefruit, gardenia, and violet petals, to name just a few. I don’t like anything too heavy or musky. I prefer fruity-floral fragrances, and that is what Daisy is. The eau de toilette is also strong enough that it lasts all day without needing to reapply it, but it isn’t so strong that you have people coughing on the subway. Not only has the original Daisy earned a permanent spot in my fragrance collection, so have all of the different versions.

What Is Your Favorite Summer Fragrance?

Do you switch up your fragrance for summer? Do you choose a body mist or even a scented lotion? Tell us what you’re wearing.
Everyone tweaks their wardrobe and beauty routines for summer. (Hello SPF!) You swap your boots for your bikini, and you look for sweat and waterproof makeup instead of hydrating products. Do you also switch up your fragrance? In the winter, heavier, muskier scents are more common, but in summer, fruity and floral perfumes start appearing on the shelves. What fragrance do you wear in the summer? Is it the same one you wear the rest of the year, or do you swap your perfume for a body mist or even in a scented lotion?
I don’t really stick with one perfume. I always have a few on the go, but when it comes to the summer, I look for fruity florals. Escada always has great summer scents, and I almost always get one. Their Escada Turquoise Summer, $46, has notes of blackcurrant, violet, and raspberries, which is a perfect combination for the warm weather. It also comes in four different sizes, including a 0.25 oz spray for $20, so you don’t have to splurge on a scent you will only wear for a couple of months.
