Happy winter days are almost over which also means that good skin days are now short-lived. So, it is time that you start caring for your skin and prep for the steamy summer season ahead of us.

We are here with a few of the best skin care tips for you and for the upcoming summer days!

Hydrate

The first and foremost summer skin care tip is to stay hydrated and by hydration, we mean that you really need to drink up your water well. And by this, we mean that you need to drink at least 4-5 liters of water per day. This will not only keep you well hydrated but it will also keep your system clean and that will also keep your skin clear. Drinking so much water on a daily basis gets a little boring at times, so you can add fresh fruit juices to your list. Fresh fruit juices are not only delicious but are also packed with lots of vitamins, proteins, and natural electrolytes which also help you in boosting your immunity and make your skin glow.

Eat fresh

One of the best skin care tips for women is to eat fresh! By fresh we do mean that you should include a lot of fresh fruits and fresh vegetables in your diet. Consuming a variety of at least two different fresh fruits on a daily basis ensures you with natural vitamins that make your overall health stronger and also make your skin glow flawlessly. By ‘eating fresh’ we also mean that you must eat freshly cooked meals in summer because the heat tends to spoil your food faster. Hence, eating freshly cooked meals is great for your gut health and good gut health means healthy health overall.

Cleansing

Summer days are pretty hot and sweaty! Doesn’t sound elegant nor does it look like it. And sweating also means that it tends to clog your pores and clogged pores mean you are welcoming pimples, acne, whiteheads, and blackheads to your beautiful skin. Hence, face wash for women is extremely essential on any day, any weather, and any season, but summers need a little more attention. For summers, you can pick a mild cleansing wash so that you can cleanse your face at least twice a day and thrice in case you have extremely oily skin. The best mild cleanser would be the PIXI Glow Tonic Cleansing Gel (tried & tested) which has a light gel texture suitable for all skin types.

Moisturization

There is one major myth that needs to be busted with the biggest bang! And that is, “you don’t need to moisturize on summer days”, or “oily skin does not need to be moisturized on summer days.” Well, both these statements are completely false, and here’s the summer skin care tip that you need – no matter what weather or what skin type, your skin needs to be moisturized and kept well hydrated. This applies to everyone including combination skin types as well as oily skin types. Moisturization keeps your skin well-hydrated, and well-hydrated skin means no irritation and healthy radiant skin. For your summer moisturization, you can opt for a light water-based serum that soaks into the skin well without making your skin feel greasy or heavy. Or you can even use a sunscreen lotion.

Exfoliation

Be it any season, especially summer, your skin needs exfoliation at least once a week. And if you have large pores that tend to clog more often during summer then you can exfoliate your skin at least twice a week. This will not only deeply cleanse your skin but will also help you in getting rid of whiteheads and blackheads if you follow up every week. Exfoliation is also great for your skin as it helps in increasing your blood circulation and reveals healthy glowing skin.

Masking

One of the cool skin care tips for summer is that you can apply homemade masks at any time and as many times as you want. Masking isn’t only great for your skin, but it is also extremely relaxing. It’s always great to have a little pamper time to yourself. The best masks that you can make at home are of besan, turmeric, and aloe vera bases. These bases suit all skin types and are great for the summer season.

Light makeup for daily wear

This is one of the best skin care tips for summer While you do all the ‘mehnat’ for radiant glowing skin, make sure you don’t spoil it by applying heavy makeup on a daily basis. Heavy makeup occasionally is okay but try and avoid it on summer days if possible. If your work or engagements require you to dress up well with heavy makeup then you surely cannot skip it. But if you can afford on skipping your heavy makeup and can do it with a light base that is set with a compact powder and minimum makeup then not only do you look great for your daily work wear but it is also great for your skin. Less makeup is also extremely comfortable for daily work wear.

Makeup removal

Now, this skincare tip for women is extremely important. Because if you don’t clean up your makeup, it will clog up your pores and send out free invitations to pimples, acne, whiteheads, and blackheads. You surely don’t want to look temporarily pretty with your makeup on and later on suffer from pimples and acne. Hence, cleansing your face after makeup is very important. The best way to clean up your makeup is by double cleansing – which means you clean up your makeup with micellar water or makeup removing balm as your first step. And secondly, you wash off your face using a deep cleansing face wash. This ensures that your face is completely clean and free from makeup. Once done, make sure you don’t forget to moisturize.
